Bobby Lawson

Bobby Lee Lawson, age 84, of Odessa, TX, passed away on April 17, 2019 in Odessa.

Bobby was born January 27, 1935 to Thomas Lawson and Lora Barrett Lawson in New Castle, Texas. He married Belva McMillan on September 21, 1956 in Ballinger, TX. He attended Texas Tech University and Hardin Simmons. He worked as a computer programmer at General Dynamics (Lockeed-Martin) for 15 years. He was a charter member of Life Change Baptist Church.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lora Lawson; son, Randol Lawrence; sisters, Mable Jones and Adeline Ball; brothers, Woodrow Lawson and Amos Lawson and grandson, Daniel Cardwell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Belva; sister, Beverly Andrae and husband, Weldon; daughters, Lynda Nance and husband, David, Brenda Cardwell and husband, Mark; 9 grandchildren, Tracee, Erin, Tom, Jacob, Brittany, Bob, Randee, Kristen and Michelle; 19 great grandchildren, Nate, Tyler, Kobe, Kash, Lincoln, Nolan, Maddyn, Madison, Alexis, Brian, Aidan, Aubrey, Gavin, Pearson, Oliver, Elias, Andrew, Brandon, Liliana, Andrea; two great great grandchildren, Houston and Austyn.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, April 19, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Courtney of Life Change Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
