Bobby Dale Leonard, age 89, passed away Friday, July 15th, 2022, at Avalon Memory Care in Carrollton, Texas.
Bobby was born on July 14, 1933, the 3rd child of Arthur and Maurine Leonard in a country home outside of Granger, Texas. He served in the U.S. Air-force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was an Eagle Scout. Bobby was raised in Big Spring, Texas, before moving to Odessa, Texas, for work. He retired from TXU after 25 years to pursue other dreams. After many years of selling used cars out of the front yard, he started selling cars for a living. He worked for the Odessa American before starting his own business, B&B Specialties. This business found him and his wife, Brenda Leonard, traveling all over Texas and the United States until he was 80.
He loved his family and friends, RVing and traveling. He especially enjoyed playing golf. A great day for Bobby was playing golf with his golf buddies, his daughter and his niece Sam and her husband, Ed Peet.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Leonard; daughter, Jodi Crosby, and daughter-in-law Kelli Crosby of Carrollton, Tx; granddaughter, Carli McGahey and fiancée James Henderson of Frisco, Tx; grandson, Taylor McGahey of Austin, Tx; brother-in-law, Terry Johnston and wife Terri of Midland, Tx; brother-in-law, Richard Johnston and wife Jana of Lincoln, NE; and several nieces and nephews and special friends, Dee and Kathy Witt of Odessa, Tx.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Dale Leonard; his parents, 2 sisters, and a brother.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
