Bobby Gene Wickliffe,70, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Hospice House in Odessa. He was born in Hamilton, Texas on August 7, 1938 to Robert and Mary Bea Wickliffe. He married Naomi Dirden on July 6, 1956, in Odessa, Texas.
He is survived by two daughters, Lenora Fisher and Leota Walley both of Odessa; two brothers, Calvin Wickliffe and wife Jessie of Odessa, Bennie Dugan Wickliffe and wife Wanda of Odessa; three grandchildren; Christina and Chester Hollis of Odessa, April and Royce Lowrance of San Angelo, TX, Heath Fisher and Laura Gilliam of Odessa, four great-grandchildren; Keith, Kayla and Tye Lowrance of San Angelo, TX, Jaiden Marie Fisher of Odessa and numerous niece and nephews. Bobby loved his family most of all.
Bobby had many hobbies such as collecting state quarters, pennies in Planters peanut jars for his grandchildren, collecting belt buckles and caps. He loved to watch wrestling and loved to talk about it with everyone. His special love was his daughter, Lenora.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Wickliffe, his parents, Robert and Mary Wickliffe; brother, Dick Wickliffe and sister, Kathy Brown.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 27, 2009, from 6-8 PM at Sunset Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice House of Odessa; his special nurses, Stacy Bond, Tylene Ballard, Anesha Ramirez with Home Hospice, Jimmy Braswell, Paul Fisher, Marshall and Pam Driggers, Jim and Beth Harris, Greg Dunn, Val Wilcox and Meals on Wheels of Odessa.
