Boyce Lay

Boyce Weldon Lay, age 90, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 9 AM to 12 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Boyce was born on February 14, 1932, in Snyder, Texas to Thomas Jefferson Lay and Vivian Ruby Lay. He graduated from Hobbs High School of Hobbs, Texas in 1950 and attended Texas Tech University. He served in the US Army Signal Corp 1951-1954. Boyce worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 38 years in Odessa, Texas

Boyce is preceded in death by his father, mother, three sisters, one brother, and partner, Emily Moore.

Boyce is survived by his partner of 22 years, Judy Laird; daughter, Beverly Lay; son, Wesley Lay; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lay; granddaughter Shannon Lay, and ex-wife, Maurene Lay.
