Brecklyn Barner

April 16, 2015 — June 19, 2015

Brecklyn Ava Barner, age 2 months, of Odessa, left this world on June 19, 2015 in Dallas, TX. After struggling for two long months with DiGeorge Syndrome, the good Lord called her home. Brecklyn was cared for by amazing nurses and staff at ORMC in the NICU while here in Odessa. She was then transferred to Children's Medical Center of Dallas to the CICU where she was under the care of Dr. Kristine Guleserian and a number of other amazing doctors and nurses. She was a fighter and fought until the very end. Brecklyn received prayers from all over the world and has touched so many lives in the short time she was here on earth. She was deeply loved by family and friends.

Brecklyn is survived by her parents, Kara and Jeremy Barner; twin sister, Bristol; uncles, Blake and Drayden Barner, Tyler Zugg, Kevin Pena, and Chris Knox; aunts, Kendra Cagle, Amber Zugg, and Christa Knox; maternal grandparents, Suzanne Welling, and Jerry and Joyce Cagle; fraternal grandparents, Dianne and Cavin Zugg, and Roy L. and Courtney Barner; maternal great grandparents, Mary Cagle, Richard and Lavelle Counts; fraternal great grandparents, Dick and Amelia Saulsbury, Roy V. Barner, and Rose Zugg. She is also survived by maternal great great grandmother, Vi Counts as well as many great aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Through her struggles, she reminded us of the preciousness of life. Although we will miss her every day, she will forever remain in our hearts.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Friday, June 26, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Crossroads Fellowship with Reverend Dr. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
