Brenda Brooks

Brenda Brooks, 53, of Odessa, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Odessa, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Odessa Tabernacle with Pastor Doug Herget officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial.

Brenda was born in Stephenville, TX to Bill and Dorothy Hunter on October 6, 1958. She married Roger Brooks on October 12, 1974 in Lubbock, TX. Brenda was a homemaker her whole life. She raised her 4 children, and then in a few years was honored to raise some of her grandchildren. Brenda had 11 grandchildren in all and they were her pride and joy. Being MaMa to them meant the world to her, and she made sure to spoil them rotten. Brenda was also known as Aunt Dozey to some very special nieces and nephews. She spent her life always thinking and doing for others. She loved the Lord above all else.

Brenda is preceded in death by her sisters, Rhonda Hunter, and Teresa Land, and by her paternal grandparents Vernie, and Grace Hunter, and her maternal grandparents Ernest and Beatrice McDonald, and her grandson Dillon Blake Brooks.

Brenda is survived by her loving spouse, Roger Brooks. Daughter, Christy Boguszewicz, son, Billy Brooks, daughter, Jeanie Brooks, daughter, Brandy Baur. Sister, Cathy Oliver, and brother Billy Hunter, parents Bill and Dorothy Hunter, 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
