Brenda Clunn

Brenda V. Clunn, age 75, of Odessa, TX, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Memorial Services will be at 12pm, Monday April 18, 2016 in The Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donnie Rollie officiating.

Brenda was born to Ellis and Flora Mattox on November 20, 1940 in the small farming community of Kossuith Mississippi. She loved to go fishing and enjoyed all the pleasures of a simple life style. Brenda and her family moved to Pecos, Texas in 1953 where she graduated from Pecos High School in 1959. Brenda worked as a Medical Transcriber until much later retiring from Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ellis and Flora Mattox.

She is survived by her son James Bowlin and her daughter Cheryl Atkinson, both of Odessa, three sisters, Doris Willis and Linda Packer of Odessa, Delilah McPhereson of Azle, Texas, grandaughter, Christy Tsunemori of Orange Park, Florida, grandson Christopher Bowlin of Odessa, great grandaughter Isla Tsunemori of Orange Park, Florida, along with many loving nieces. She is also survived by her longtime life partner and caregiver, Gary Cox of Odessa, Texas. Brenda will be misssed very deeply by many people.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation to St. Judes Children Hospital in which Brenda was a huge contributor.
