Brenda Jo Darden

Brenda Jo Darden, 69 passed away on June 5, 2024, at home in the loving arms of her husband in Odessa, Texas. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas, with Pastor Cliff DeArmond of Hope Alive Church officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Brenda Jo Moon was born in Pecos, Texas to Oscar Richard and Billie Jo Moon on August 21, 1954. She married Jimmy Darden on May 28, 1977, in Odessa, Texas. She graduated from Pecos High School where she was a Varsity Cheerleader and attended Angelo State University. She worked as a secretary for 22 years for her Asbestos Removal Family.

Brenda Jo Darden is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marilyn Kay Covington; son, Christopher Darden; great nephew, Jon Daniel Campos; great grand nephews, Trace Patterson and Hunter Neighbors.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jimmy Darden; nieces, Connie Jo Campos and husband Danny, and Judy Covington; great nephews, Chance Newton and wife Amber, and Cobey Campos; great nieces, Dharma Jo Jimenez and husband Daniel, Jaycee Newton; and very special friends Jamie Hennessey, Debbie Jimenez, and Charlotte Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Grant Hackney, Chance Newton, Cobey Campos, Vance Gilliam, and Gerardo Jimenez.
