Our precious son, Byron D Voss passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 after a lengthy illness in Odessa, TX.. He was 42 years old. We will miss him dearly but rejoice in the knowledge that he is in Heaven and no longer in pain.
Byron was born April 22,1973 to Reginald Voss and Sherry Stamps Voss. He grew up in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School. He attended First Baptist Church. He was a machinist by trade but
had many other talents. He was a mechanic and a body man who could fiberglass and paint both boats and autos. He enjoyed drawing and painting and was very good at it. Byron was known to be stubborn
and hardheaded. He insisted on doing things his way most of the time, but he was also a very compassionate and loving man. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it.
Byron is preceded in death by his dad, Reggie Voss, grandmother, Nanette Voss, granddad, Jewel Stamps, his Uncle Paul Stamps and his cousin, Ron Truelock.
He is survived by his step-dad and mother, James and Sherry Spruill of Odessa, his much loved daughter, Taylor Voss of Odessa, brother, Shea Spruill and wife Michelle of Covington, LA, step-brother, Shawn
Spruill and wife Jeana of Alvin, TX, Aunts Janet Truelock of Odessa, Mary Grayson and husband Lynn of Cleburne, TX, Patty Bales of Colorado City, TX, nieces Madeline, Siana, Teagan and Mikelah. One
nephew, Santiago and many other family members and friends. He is also survived by his Granny, Vivian Stamps who Byron considered his best friend.
Family visitation will be Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Byron McWilliams officiating.
The family would like to thank Dr Adimoolam and his staff, Dr Townsend, the staff at Medical Center Hospital and Home Hospice for their kindness and loving care of Byron.
Our hearts are heavy today, but we know that we'll see Byron again according to God's promise. We love you very much Byron!
