Carl Douglas Neithercutt, 83, died on February 12, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with John Snider, and Jack Moore officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM in Family Cemetery in Bradshaw, Texas with Military Honors.
Carl was born in Eunice, New Mexico to Carl and Floy Neithercutt on November 3, 1937. He graduated from Jim Ned High School in 1956. Carl married his high school sweetheart, Precilla Lavern Turnbow, on September 21, 1957 in Ovalo, Texas.
He retired from Southwestern Bell after 27 years of service. Carl served in the Navy for 6 years. He came home for Lavern’s high school graduation, then went to Trenton, New Jersey, where he was stationed, and where the first of three daughters were born.
Carl was a member of Gardendale Church of Christ and served as deacon for several years.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Floy Neithercutt; and daughter, Terri Neithercutt (August 30, 2019).
Carl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Precilla Lavern Neithercutt of Odessa, TX; two daughters, Connie (Ernest) Tate of Abilene, TX, and Dedra (Alan) Denney of Odessa, TX; four grandchildren, Michael Maddox of Odessa, TX, Seth and Tiffany Tate of Conroe, TX, Keverly and Christopher Reffner of Weatherford, TX, and Dennis and Sara Drake of California; as well as three great grandchildren, Camden, Connor, and Kagan Reffner of Weatherford, TX.
Pallbearers will be Peter Watson, Justin Thomson, Eddie Minatra, James Minatra, Jimmy Don Hallford, and Freddy Hallford.
