Carol Benton

Carol Louise Benton, age 74, of Odessa, TX, passed away on February 1, 2017 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with K. C. Blacketter officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Carol was born October 2, 1942 to Louis and Mariane Talbott in McPherson, Kansas. Carol, her mother, Mariane and her stepfather, Doyle Griffin moved from McPherson, Kansas to Goldsmith, TX when she was 13. They lived at the El Paso Natural Gas Plant Camp in Goldsmith. She attended and graduated from Odessa High School in 1960. She married Glenn Hershel Benton September 15, 1961 at First Baptist Church in Goldsmith, TX.

Carol is preceded in death by Louis Talbott, mother, Mariane Griffin, stepfather, Doyle Griffin and a daughter, Kim Benton Orosco.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Benton of Odessa, TX, her brother, Scott and his wife Shelly Griffin of Odessa, TX, her sister, Connie and her husband, Paul Nichols of Gardendale, TX, grandsons, Jordon Orosco and Robert Orosco and 6 great grandchildren.
