Carolyn Ann Travis, age 80, of Odessa, Texas passed away on October 19, 2017.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 at Gardendale Church of Christ at 4448 E. Morning Glory Rd. in Gardendale, Texas with graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Carolyn Ann Travis was born in Lubbock Texas to James Lewis Folk and Ina Lee Shortes on May 27, 1937. She was raised on a cattle ranch just outside of Seminole, Texas where she graduated high school. She met and married Tommy Gene Travis of Seminole, a very loving and caring husband and father. She worked as a bookkeeper for cotton gins, dress shops and was a homemaker. She attended Gardendale Church of Christ where she loved being a member. Carolyn was known for her strong Christian faith, wittiness and kindhearted personality. She was a very caring and supportive mother and grandmother and also known as "grammar" to all her grandkids.
Carolyn Ann Travis is preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Ina Fold and her husband Tommy D. Travis.
Carolyn Ann Travis is survived by her two sons; Tommy K. Travis and wife Brenda of Midland, Texas and Carol Lin Travis and his wife Karen of Gardendale, Texas; grandchildren Jesse K. Travis of San Antonio, Lauren B. Spears and her husband Lincoln of Charleston, WV, Kara L. Travis of Odessa, Texas, Kasey G. Travis of Odessa, Texas, Hannah Bowden of Midland, Texas and Nathan Bowden of Midland, Texas and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Gardendale Church of Christ.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
