Charles Payne

Charles Robert Payne, 74, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2008, at the Hospice House in Odessa. He was born on November 26, 1933, in Rondo, Arkansas to Charles Samuel Payne and Grace Cambell Payne. He was a retired professor from Odessa College and was also retired from the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife Ann Payne of Odessa; son Bob Payne of Odessa; three granddaughters; Breanna Payne, Janea Payne and Heather Graves and two great-grandsons CJ Haus Blair and Dalton little Squirt Graves.

Graveside services were held on Friday, August 8, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
