Chelly Steward

Chelly Bee Steward passed from this life, with family by her side, on Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was born March 15, 1939 in Stamford, Texas.

Chelly grew up in Sweetwater, Texas, moving to Lubbock, Texas as a teenager where she graduated from Monterey High School in 1957. Chelly was a local business owner with her husband J. Steward for many years, working as a bookkeeper in the business in addition to raising their two daughters, Stacy and Kim.

Chelly is preceded in death by her husband, J. Stenette Steward; a child, Robert Dean Steward; as well as her parents, Faye and Jack Dunlap of Lubbock, Texas.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Steward and Kim Steward, both of The Woodlands, Texas; sister Beverly O'Donnell and her husband Roy of Spicewood, Texas; brother Sam Dunlap, of Idaho; grandchildren, Jesse James, Drew Heflin, J. Price Steward and Quinn Steward; great granddaughters, Lilian James and Amaya Heflin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00-6:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
