Christi Ernst

Christi Marie Ernst, age 40, of Southlake, TX, passed away Monday, November 17th, 2014 in Southlake.

Christi was born in Odessa, TX on August 24, 1974 to Chris Ernst and Kathy Eckel. Christi graduated from Permian High School in 1993 and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Science from UTPB of Odessa, TX.

Christi bravely battled Cystic Fibrosis and was the recipient of a double lung transplant in July 2012. Christi was an advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and organ donation. Christi lovingly devoted a lot of her time coaching and supporting families with Cystic Fibrosis children.

Christi loved kids, art, traveling, animals and laughing. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh that illuminated our lives. She paid a lot of attention to details, and never took life for granted. Christi took pride in everything she did and inspired so many with her courageous spirit.

Christi is preceded in death by her Papa, Tim Eckel.

Christi is survived by the Love of her life, David Thomas of Southlake, TX, her mother Kathy Eckel and father Chris Ernst sister,Kelsi Parker and husband Bart Parker three brothers, Cody Eckel and wife Paula Eckel, Travis Eckel and Chris Eckel all of Odessa, TX. nephews, Taylor Eckel, Nicholas Dugan, Tanner Eckel Lane Eckel nieces, Sarah Parker, Lexi Eckel Laci Eckel her grandparents, Jim and Babe Womble of Odessa TX and Jim and Maves Archer of Odessa, TX and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 4:00 PM
