Christine Furstenberg

Christine Furstenberg, 64, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.

Christine was born Iva Christine Wagner in Coatesville, Pennsylvania to Malcolm Rubincam and Adelaide Viginia Schewe Wagner on Tuesday, March 3, 1953. She graduated class of 1971 at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania. Christine married her "champion", Ronald Keith Furstenberg, on Thursday, February 14, 1991 at her residence in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and then again on February 11, 1992 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas. She was a lover of literature and poetry, even writing some of her own, earning an Editor's Choice Award for two of her submitted poems to poetry.com in May of 2001. Christine worked in the accounts receivable department at ALSCO, but would say that the most important job titles she held were that of Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.

Christine is preceded in death by her father and mother, Malcolm and Virginia Wagner, father and mother in-law, Thomas Gerald Furstenberg and Patsy Ruth Furstenberg O'Neal.

Christine is survived by her husband, Ronald Furstenberg, her children, Debra and Larry Soward, Amy Morrow and Beau Perez, John and Christy Morrow, Scott Furstenberg, Matthew Furstenberg, and Gabriela Perez, her brother and sister-in-law's Frank and Tommy Sue Flournoy, David and Rita Guinn, Tony and Connie O'Neal, Robert and Mary Kay Scott, her grandchildren, Stone, Skye, Sierra, Sage and Sydney Soward, Kalie and Anneliese Morrow, Autumn Perez, Shylee and Christopher Furstenberg.

Pallbearers will be Scott Furstenberg, Matthew Furstenberg, Shawn Taylor, Beau Perez, Robert Scott, and Eddy Nill.

Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Hood officiating. Burial will follow.
