Clara Nance

Clara Mae Nance (Nana), 87, of Odessa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Odessa.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Clara was born in Chickasaw, Oklahoma to Melvin and Minnie Rutledge on October 26, 1928. Clara married William S. Nance (Dub) on December 8, 1949. Together they had four children; Judy Johnston, Kathy Tibbets, David Nance, and Stephen Nance. She had nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Clara was a homemaker and the glue of her family. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for them. She loved to travel and loved to decorate. She was everyone's ‘Nana' and her door was always to open to whom ever needed her advice or help.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Minnie Rutledge, her husband William S. Nance, two children Stephen Nance and Kathy Tibbets, two grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Johnston and son David Nance.
