Claudia Jones

Claudia Lanett Jones, age 78, of Odessa, TX, passed away at her residence on January 4, 2015.

Claudia was born on March 5, 1936 to Claud David Chapman and Nena Dessie Lee Rasco Chapman in Roscoe, TX. She married Sam L. Jones on September 26, 1954 in Loraine, TX. Her and her husband moved to Odessa in 1956. She was a homemaker and a self employed seamstress. She attended Midessa Heights Baptist Church.

Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Nena Chapman.

She is survived by her husband, Sam L. Jones; daughters, Marsha Horstman and husband Charley, of Odessa, Tina Crawford of Odessa; grandchildren, Michael Molder and wife Rachel, of Williamsport, MD, Aaron Crawford and Lynette of El Paso, TX; sister, Lin Scott and husband Robert, of Hamilton, MS. and four great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Maddox, Jeremy McCrohan, Joshua McCrohan, Curtis Dixon, George Miller, Alan Demetri and Ronny Chambers.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 7 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony McCrohan Jr. officiating.
