Claudia Moore

Claudia Sue Moore of Odessa, cherished wife, mother, sister, and best friend, passed away on March 7, 2023.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Claudia was born in Lubbock, TX to Paul and Letha Shelton on September 5, 1954.  She went to school in Odessa, TX.  She married Arthur Moore on March 18, 1980, in Odessa, TX., and raised two beautiful children.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Odessa College in 2002 with a degree in nursing.

She worked as a special Education Teacher for ECISD, A Front Desk Representative at local hotels, and as a registered nurse at Medical Center Hospital for six years.  She was a Girl Scout leader, and PTA President.

Claudia greatest accomplishment was making a difference in the lives of everyone She touched.  She would give everything to the people who needed her, without regard to herself.

Claudia is preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Moore; father, Paul Shelton; her mother, Letha Shelton; and her nephew, Chad Nicodemus.

She is survived by her spouse, Arthur Moore; daughter, Taunell Moore; brother, John Shelton; sister, Paula Bivins; sister-in-law, Lois Shelton; brother-in-law, James Bivins; and nephews, Chris Bivins, and Seth Moore.

Pallbearers will be James Bivins, Mark Rogers, Bruce Benham, Chuck Henson, Pat Sullivan, and Roger Ramirez.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
