Cleveland “Jesse” Godfrey left this world unexpectedly September 7,2021.
Jesse Godfrey was born April 2, 1982, in Hobbs, NM. He ended up moving with his family to Odessa, TX as a child. Growing up he loved football and his Kansas City Chiefs, but once basketball season came, he was all about Kobe and his L.A. Lakers. Jesse always loved his family and could not wait to have his own. Once he became a dad, his life was fulfilled. He fell in love with the girl of his dreams and that is when life began. Jesse always worked in the oilfield and made sure his family had nothing but the best. Anything they ask for; he would make it happen. He loved spending time with his family and hated having to be away from them. He was an amazing father who showed the true meaning of a father’s love to his children.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Feliciana Vasquez; grandfather, Francisco Vasquez; uncles, Arnold Vasquez, and Paco Vazquez; and aunt, Lorena Vasquez.
He is survived by his wife, Ivy Godfrey; his three sons, Troy Godfrey, Brayden Godfrey and Jaxon Godfrey; sister, Lisa Offield; and niece, Jaelynn Godfrey; as well as his mother, Dora Steele; and father, Vernon Godfrey.
