Clyde was born in Ohio on March 5, 1953. He later moved to Odessa and began working in the oilfield at a very young age. His great work ethic and strong mind allowed him to move up quickly in his field. Starting from the lowest job on the crew as a floorhand, he was able to advance to supervisor and eventually was given an opportunity to purchase Packer Sales, Inc. Alongside Randy Gardner, Clyde was able to purchase the company and create a successful business, gaining invaluable knowledge along the way. From that point, he started several successful businesses and never lost his humility. He paid it forward many times by giving others the same opportunity he was given, sharing his wisdom and knowledge along the way.
In short, Clyde was a rock. He never complained. He worked hard and took care of his family, as well as everyone else around him, never missing a beat or taking a day off. He was a vital part of this community and even more vital to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
