Clyde Simpson

Clyde J. Simpson, 69, of Kermit, TX passed away on February 9, 2017 in Odessa, TX.

Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell, officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Clyde was born in Seminole, TX, to Clyde and Naomi Simpson on January 7, 1948. He attended school in Odessa, TX. He married Melinda Duncan on March 19, 1966 in Odessa. He worked as a truck driver for 35 years. He was a veteran and served in the Air Force. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Kermit, TX.

Clyde is preceded in death by his son, John; his parents and sisters, Pat Shackelford and Teresa Sayas. He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Simpson of Kermit; grandson, John, of Arlington; and sister, Twana Simpson Goodwin of Abilene. Four nieces, one nephew and 21 great nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Odessa Medical Center staff as well as members of his church.
