Cretone L. "Self" Thomas, age 96, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Georgetown, TX

Crete was born October 22, 1921 to Pearcy and Ida "Vaughan" Self in Oil City, LA. In 1939, Crete married the love of her life, H.L. Thomas in South, TX. Crete is Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star. She loved cooking and fishing up until her health wouldn't let her do things. Crete was a life-long resident of Odessa.

Crete is preceded in death by her parents, Pearcy and Ida "Vaughan" Self; her loving husband, H.L. Thomas; sister, Pauline Rook and her brother, Garland Self.

She is survived by her sons, Max Thomas and wife Linda, Mark Thomas, Don Thomas and wife Shela, Wayne Thomas and wife Kay; grandchildren, Darren Thomas, Dion Thomas and wife Twila, Greg Thomas and wife Jodi, Clint Thomas, Cliff Thomas and wife Kieu, Kyle Thomas and wife Sharon, Lindsey Klingensmith and husband Jesse, David Thomas, Justin Thomas and wife Andrea; great grandchildren, RayAnn Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Talan Thomas, Austin Thomas, Colton Klingensmith, Auden Thomas, Cami Klingensmith, Ava Thomas, Callan Klingensmith and Hazel Thomas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
