Curtis Ivan Browning, age 63, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Crossroads Fellowship with Kenny Comstock officiating. Masonic Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Curtis was born on August 18, 1952 to Floyd and Elsie Browning in Levelland, TX. He graduated from Monahans High School. He married Carol Beair on May 20, 1972 in Monahans, TX. He graduated from Odessa College. Curtis was the proud owner of his own welding and fabrication company, Curtis Browning, Inc., for over 35 years. He was a member of the Andy G. Vaughn Masonic Lodge #1421.
Curtis is preceded in death by his son, Brad Browning; parents, Floyd and Elsie Browning and his sister, Kathy Blackman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carol Beair Browning; son and daughter in law, Brian and Tara Browning. While Curtis loved so many people, nobody came before his two grandchildren, Kaylie and Connor Browning. Carol took care of Curtis so that he could take care of everyone else.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bob McCollom, Danny Stevens, Danny Windham, Greg Masters, Steven Collier and Charlie Oxford.
Honorary Bearers will be Connor Browning, Bill Rhea, Charles Murphy, Ray Beair, Billy Simmons, William Burks, Billy Hammitt, Dwight Cameron and Ronald Hilliard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
