Daniel Gonzales

Daniel Hernandez Gonzales, age 78 of Odessa, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Hospice House in Odessa.

He was born July 21, 1934 in Barstow, Texas to Severino Dominguez Gonzales and Margarita Hernandez Gonzales. He was raised in Presidio, Texas and later moved to Odessa where he met the love of his life. On May 26, 1954 he married Frances Neria Gonzales in Odessa, she preceded him in death August 17, 2002.

He worked for the city of Odessa from 1962 until 1968. He also worked for Blakley Construction for over 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his eldest son, Daniel Gonzales.

Survivors include a brother, Manuel Gonzales of Odessa sons, Johnny Gonzales and wife Romelia of Austin, Ruben Gonzales, Eddie Gonzales and wife Olivia and David Gonzales, all of Odessa daughters, Celia Munoz and husband Arturo, Becky Cobbarubio, Rosa Gonzales and husband Joe, all of Odessa 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Art Munoz, Joe Gonzales, Tony Alarcon, Michael Gonzales, Armando Pulido and Jacob Fuentes.
