Danny Ray Yandrich, 76, of Odessa, passed away on December 6, 2020 in Mansfield, TX.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Donald Bug of Life Change Church officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Yandrich, Colton Thompson, Lane Thompson, Braydon Blain, John McCollum, Lupe Munguia, Isaac Sabedra, Trey Preslar and Ruben Gonzales, Jr.
Danny was born in Childress, Texas to Emil & Rita Yandrich on December 6, 1944. He went to school in Odessa and graduated from Permian High School in 1964. He married Lana Jean McCollum on August 27, 1965 at Temple Baptist Church. He worked at General Tire & Rubber for 36 years, as well as Broadmoor Auto Supply, Parts Warehouse, Napa, and Select Energy Services. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during Vietnam and was award the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Expert (Rifle) Medal. Danny was very proud of his family and especially his grandsons. He would do anything for his family and friends and made sure they knew he was there for them. Many of his friends have made the comment that “He never forgot a friend”.
Danny is preceded in death by his, father, Emil Yandrich; and his mother, Rita Yandrich.
Danny is survived by his wife, Lana Jean Yandrich; son, Michael Yandrich; daughter, Lori and husband Weldon Thompson of Mansfield; brother, David Yandrich and wife Debra of Snyder; grandchildren, Daniel Yandrich, Colton Thompson, and Lane Thompson; brother-in-law, John McCollum and wife Linda of Odessa; nieces, Traci McCollum of Boerne, TX; Misti Webb and Kristi Eicher of Odessa; many other nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Memorials may be given to West Texas Gifts of Hope, a local non-profit that directly helps our cancer patients; all proceeds go directly to helping cancer patients locally. Odessa.hopehouse@gmail.com, Phone Number 432-614-9284.
