Darel W Cook, 57 of Odessa, passed away on Nov 1,2023

He was born in Gallup, NM to Jimmy and Linda. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He loved his truck and driving. He drove many miles and made many friends over the years doing this. He enjoyed listening to music, watching John Wayne movies and other westerns, and also really enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit and his ability to make people laugh, even when they didn’t want to.

He was a loving husband to Ronda whom he married in 2019 in Odessa. He was also a loving father, son, brother, uncle and a friend to many.

Darel was preceded in death by grandparents Joe & Oree Cook and H.L & Barbara Merrill, son Dustin Cook, his hunting buddies and uncles Pat and Butch Merrill

Darel is survived by parents Jimmy and Wynona Cook, mother Linda Jobe, wife Ronda Cook, sons Cody and Dakota Cook, step-sons Cody and Thomas Clark, Jake Boorigie, sister Tammy (Monte) Moore, brother Tanner Kizer, nephew Michael Cook, nieces Kassandra (Koty) Robbins, Ashlee (Justin) Richardson, Tyler Kizer (Colton), Tatum Kizer, grand-nephews Ryan, Kayson, grand-nieces Lacee, Rylee, Aubrie, Adalynn, River Rowan, other family members and friends.

He will truly be missed, especially his smile and distinct sense of humor.
