David Fields

David Wayland Fields, 76, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Odessa, Texas.

He was born April 1, 1935 in Gorman, Texas to Ottis Fields and Hazel Bean Fields. He was in the U.S. Air Force, regiment AF and the U.S. Navy USNR. Mr. Fields worked in maintenance at the Highway Department.

Survivors include his children, Rebecca Ruth Fields Hershiser and her husband John, John Mark Fields and wife Eva Joe, and Robert Edward Fields brothers, Bobby Fields and wife Sue, Paul Fields, and Tommy Fields and wife Vickie sister, Doris Hilliard grandchildren, Haylie, Rylee, and P.J., nieces and nephews Tony, Mike, Sheila, Tina, Eric, James, Teresa, Scott and Steve.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Steve Hilliard.

Visitation with the family will be 48 PM Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, April 18, 2011 at First Church of God with Jerry Patterson officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Sardis Cemetery in Comanche, Texas, followed by a Memorial Service at Hasse Baptist Church in Comanche, Texas.
