Debra Froemke, age 67, went home to be with her Savior after a long battle with illness on Saturday, March 18, 2023, with family by her side.
Debra was born in Klamath Falls, OR, on December 26, 1955, to B.M. and Mary Antle.
Debra married Gary Froemke on May 7, 1977, in Klamath Falls, OR, after which they spent the next 46 loving years together. During that time Debra helped to raise Gary’s daughter and then Debra and Gary went on to have three more daughters.
From a young age, Debra’s dream was to be a wife and mother of as many children as the father would give her, and she did a beautiful job. She cared deeply for her family, not out of obligation, but simply for who she was.
In 1981, the family settled here in Odessa where they raised their children and became family to a large community of wonderful people. Debra was very active in her love of her Lord and Savior. One of her favorite things to do was to lead the song service every weekend during Saturday and Sunday services. Along with this she was a beloved Sunday school teacher to the children and Treasurer for the Church. She loved to open her house to Torah Study and fellowship, much like her beloved mother had done. Serving her Lord and the people she loved made her happiest.
Debra is survived by her husband, Gary Froemke; children, Lisa and Dave Randall, Mary and Benjamin Barnick, Kay Froemke, and Tori Froemke; grandchildren, Jake and Natalie Edge and Kali Edge; siblings, Nancy and Jack Sexton, and John and Dixie Antle; plus, numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, B.M. and Mary Antle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023, with friend Thomas Garrett officiating.
