Debra Deb, or Debbie Jean Moore was born February 15, 1957 in Monahans, Texas to Faye and J. W. Bill Moore. She graduated from Monahans High School in 1975. While in high school was a member of the Big Green Band of Monahans. She participated as part of the first band to march in Texas Stadium with the Monahans High School Band. She also played volleyball. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church while living in Monahans and later at Crestview Baptist in Midland.
Debra never had children of her own but helped raise her two nieces and two nephews. She was always so proud of all of their accomplishments. She was also proud of her great niece and looked forward to spoiling her new great great niece.
Debra was currently employed part time with the Permian Basin Board of Realtors and also part time at Arnold, Hancock and Wallach PPLC as a bookkeeper. She worked for several places as a bookkeeper while in Midland.
Debra is preceded in death by her father, J.W. Bill Moore brother, Kenneth Moore and step father, Sam Capps.
She is survived by her mother Faye Capps, and sisterSharon Miller of Midland. She also leaves behind her nieces Michelle McCright and husband Greg of Midland, Karen Miller of Dallas nephews Patrick Moore of Houston and Steven Moore of Little Rock Ar. also her great niece, Kathryn McCright and great great niece Grace Elizabeth. She also leaves her stepbrother Jimmy Capps Adela of Kermit. She will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Debras life will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with Bro. Allen Speed of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. The family requests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or one of your choice.
