Della Harris

Della Bridges Harris, 97 of Odessa died Saturday June 26, 2010 at Hospice House. Della was born January 10, 1913 near Tarpley, Texas to Boonie Coffey and Edward Lesley Bridges, married William Roy Harris on July 27, 1934. Mrs. Harris was a mother, housewife and bookkeeper for her husbands business, Roy Harris Machine Shop. Charter member of 2nd Baptist Church and volunteered for 20 years for Catholic Charities.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include her son Thomas A. Harris and wife Nancy of Odessa granddaughter Joanna Smith of Dallas, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 9:00 AM Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Emmett Bernard officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

At the families request memorials can be made to Hospice House 903 N. Sam Houston Street, Odessa, TX.
