Della Williams

Della Q. Williams, age 54, of Odessa, TX, passed away at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Rosary will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marfa, TX with Memorial Mass at 11:00.

Della was born June 3, 1963 to Elidia V. Quintela and Edwardo Quintela in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her father was in the United States Marines and they moved from base to base until her father left the Marines and they settled in Marfa, TX. She attended school in the Marfa ISD. Della was a devoted wife of 38 years and a loving mother of 4. She was a cook at the Brown Recluse for two years before having a stroke which prompted their move to Odessa.

Della is preceded in death by her parents, Elida V. and Edwardo Quintela; son, John Williams; daughter, Jennifer Mendoza; nephew, Ruban Martin and her niece, Rachel Carrillo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jose Williams, Sr of Odessa; son, Jose Williams, Jr of Odessa; daughter, Janet and her husband Johnny Campos of Marfa; brothers, Gilbert Quintela of Odessa, Michael and Becky Quintela of Hobbs, NM; sisters, Sally Leon, Linda and Troy Langford, both of Corpus Christi, Marie of Odessa; grandchildren, Miranda Williams of Alpine, Dedrick, Desiree, Derick, Darren Campos of Marfa, Aleena Mendoza of Midland, Julian Navarrette of Odessa; nephew, Peter Quintela and wife, Desirae of Dallas, TX and many more nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate in Della's honor to your local meals on wheels program.
