Delores Ann Daniels, age 90, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on June 8, 2020 in Seguin.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 15, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Delores was born in Parksburg, West Virginia to Ralph Hudson Burton and Edna Inez Benedum Burton on May 4, 1930. She married her high school sweetheart, Lonnie Joe Daniels on March 22, 1947. They were married for 52 years until Lonnie passed away on September 3, 1999.
Delores was one of ten children: the “West Virginia Bunch”; Jack, Lejune, Bob, Delores “mom”, Ronnie; and the “Texas Bunch”; Donnie, Joyce, Richard, Gary and Judy. There is a funny family story about the West Virginia Bunch and the Texas Bunch. The family moved from West Virginia with the first five children, the “West Virginia Bunch” to Texas. Then along came the “Texas Bunch”. After a while it was said that Grandpa Burton was wanting to move to Louisiana… and Grandma Burton would have nothing to do with that!
Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Edna Burton; husband, Lonnie; siblings, Jack, Lejune, Bob, Ronnie, Donnie, Joyce and Gary.
Delores is survived by her brother, Richard Burton; sister, Judy Burton Henicke; son, Lonnie Steven Daniels and wife Pamela; daughter, Carol Daniels Hunt and husband William; grandchildren, Whitney Blain and husband Bryan; Mark Hunt and wife Melissa; Michael Hunt and wife Jennifer; also 10 great grandchildren; Ben Blain, James Blain, Austin Hunt and wife Kayla, Alex Hunt and wife Meagan, Aaron Hunt, Emma Hunt, Joseph Hunt, Jordyn Hunt, Jenevieve Hadas, and Jaxon Hadas.
