Delphia Genovese

Delphia Elizabeth Libby Genovese , age 60, went to be with our heavenly father on Monday, May 10, 2010 in Odessa TX.

She was born August 13, 1949 in Odessa TX to William David Lawhon and Jesse Hannabel Justice.

Libby was raised in Odessa TX. She married Sammy Genovese. They raised three children together. Libby enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends, and her animals. Libby enjoyed taking care of others. She would give you anything she had if she thought for one second you needed it. She loved the outdoors. She had just finished planting a lovely garden with her brother Leon and she had planted three trees in her back yard and named them after her three daughters. Libbys eyes would light up anytime she got to see her family and friends. They were everything to her. Libby worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant. She really enjoyed being able to take care of others. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Zieschang and husband Allen Zieschang of Odessa, Rebecca Freels and husband Raymond Freels, and Tina Stutts of Midland TX her brothers, Rodney Lawhon and Leon Lawhon of Odessa, and Jack Lawhon of Big Springs, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Genovese, her mother, Jesse Justice, her father, William Lawhon, and her sister, Susie Lawhon.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
