Delton Lee Caddell

Delton Lee Caddell passed away on October 21, 2023, at age 65, surrounded by family and friends in Odessa, TX.

Delton was born on August 16, 1958, in Munday, TX, to Walter and Joy Caddell.  Delton worked in the oil and gas industry in Texas and New Mexico for over 40 years and was currently a consultant for Conoco Phillips.  He was very skilled in the work he did and very seldom missed a day at work.

When you didn’t see Delton in the oil patch, you knew he was either on vacation or riding his Harley. Delton loved to travel. Anytime someone said the word go, he was in the truck awaiting whatever adventure lied ahead. That love to travel included riding Harleys. He always had the latest and greatest bike on the road and loved getting others to join him in his passion for riding. He made many memories when riding with his best compadres across the country. It didn’t matter how far the destination was, he was always ready to go and never wanted the vacation to end.

Delton is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Joy Caddell. 

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Caddell; son, Jeremy Caddell and wife Heidi of Prescott, AZ; daughter, Lacy Caddell of Brownwood; stepson, Chandler Chesnut of College Station; grandsons, Kade Caddell and Cooper Caddell; granddaughters, Jaelynn Caddell and Kaidence Giles;  brothers, Walter Caddell and wife Mary of Crystal City, Randy Caddell and wife Darla of Andrews, and Kelly Caddell of Andrews; sister, Jane Rogers and husband Jeff of Pecos; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Kade Caddell, Cooper Caddell, Jonathan Garcia, Glenn Prescott, Mark Blackmon, Martin Salazar, Alfred Fuentes, and B.J. Castillo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25th, from 6:00-8:00 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.  A celebration of life officiated by Gary Douglas will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Stonegate Odessa, located at 4240 Preston Smith Road.
