Dennis Dale Fusilier

September 6, 1942 — October 10, 2024

Odessa

Dennis Dale Fusilier, 82, of Odessa Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 10, 2024.

Visitation and celebration of life will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Sunset Memorial. A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Dennis was born in Branch, Louisiana to Wilbur and Ina Fusilier on September 6, 1942. He graduated from high school in Rayne, Louisiana. He married Carolyn Rogers on March 29, 1969, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He worked for National Supply for 22 years before starting Two Star Development, Inc in 1989 where he proudly served the oil industry of the Permian Basin, Houston and beyond for the last 35 years.

Dennis adored his family, and he loved his community, both in Odessa and in Junction. He had a special place in his heart for The Wounded Warriors. He proudly supported them as well as Meals on Wheels and the Kimble County Sheriff's Office. Dennis was well respected by his peers, kind, generous and always willing to offer a hand to someone in need. He was fun loving and never met a stranger (if you ever sat in a restaurant and a stranger pulled a quarter out of your child’s ear, it was probably Dennis). He was blessed to call so many people his friend. He was just an all-around good guy and will be missed by his family and countless friends who loved him dearly.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father Wilbur, his mother Ina, and his brothers, Burt Fusilier and Wesley “Boo” Fusilier. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Carolyn Fusilier, daughter Denise Edwards and husband Michael, daughter Jolie Hoffnagle and husband Marc, grandchildren Tucker Hoffnagle, Corinne Hoffnagle, Berkley Edwards, Landry Edwards, and Judson Hoffnagle, sister Linda Young and husband Ronnie as well as his nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Midland Christian School where his grandchildren have proudly graduated and are attending school.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Wendy Wall for her years of service on the ranch and for putting up with all of Dennis’ nonsense, to Goldie Watters for her endless support as well the staff at Hospice of Midland/Odessa who took excellent care of Dennis during his final hours.
