Diana Leaman Edmiston, 82, of Odessa, Texas passed away on September 23, 2023.
Diana was born to Isadore and Leah Leaman on May 18, 1941. She grew up in Crane, Texas, spending many of her childhood days in Leaman’s Department Store alongside her family in their business. Diana graduated from Crane High School in 1959 and then earned a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University. Diana had numerous professional careers over her lifetime, but she always had a passion for writing. In August 2023, Diana became a published author with the release of her book Mother to Mother--a labor of love and a piece straight from her heart. Diana was a loving wife to her husband Gary for 26 years, an unconditionally devoted mother, a fun and spirited grandmother, and an adoring great-grandmother.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Leah Leaman.
Diana is survived by her husband, Gary Edmiston; daughter, Joy Blicker; and granddaughter, Samantha. She is also survived by Christy Hodges, Michael (Mindy) Edmiston, Holly (Phillip) Bowman, Steven (Edie) Hickman, Trinity Edmiston, Collin and Hannah Bowman, Connor Hickman, and Maverick, Wyatt, and Dalton Torres.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 1:00pm. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Temple Beth El - Scholarship Fund.
