Dolores Lassa

Dolores M. Lassa, age 80, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Odessa.

She was born February 14, 1931 in English, Indiana to Emmett and Celia Eddleman. She married Dr. Stanley E. Lassa on November 1, 1950. She was a devoted wife and mother. She moved to Odessa in 1976 where she helped her husband build a successful business, Texas State Optical, now known as Lassa optical. She worked by his side until his death and continued to manage the business until her death.

She was a devout catholic. She will be remembered as a generous and loving person and she was always thinking of others before herself.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Lassa two brothers, Bruce and Ralph Eddleman and two sisters, Doris Rayles and June Eddleman.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Lawrence Lassa and Rona Davis, a daughter, Laura and husband Gary Callendar two grandchildren Courtney and Brandon Callendar, all of Odessa and a brother, Tinsel Eddleman of Indiana.

Visitation with the family will be from 68 PM Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 28, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, especially Mary Morris, who in the past year was a loving and devoted caregiver and friend.
