Dolores Smith

Dolores Dianne Loftis smith, 66 of Midland, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 in Midland Memorial Hospital.

She was born august 22, 1942 in Lorenzo, Texas to A.J. and Marie Loftis. The family moved to Modesto, California where she was reared and educated. She met C.D. Smith in Modesto, California and they married in Odesssa on August 8, 1988, where they made their home until moving to Midland in 1999. Having worked in her lifetime she enjoyed being a home maker for the past 30 yers.

Survivors include her husband, C.D. Smith of Midland; children, Duane Smith and wife Michelle of Modesto, California, Howard Don Smith and wife Chantel of Joplin, Missouri, Heather Peterson and husband Ryan of Corvallis, Oregon; brother, Richard Loftis and wife Edie; sisters, Ginger Rock, June Steed and Pamela Felt all of Modesto, California and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at Patterson Cemetery in Patterson, California. Local arrangements are with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
