Domingo Christopher Salas, age 70, of Odessa, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 in Odessa.
He was born October 25, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan to Jose Salas and Santos Galindo Salas. He worked for Ace Specialties of over 40 years and was Vice President of the company. He loved his job. He was a member of the Nights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society, the Tri Service Lions Club where he served as President, and the Mexican Network of Odessa, he also volunteered at the Catholic Charities. He was involved with so many organizations in the community, the family wishes to apologize to those that may have been left out.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Manuel Lopez and Juan Felix Salas.
Survivors include his wife of over 52 years, Eloisa Salas of Odessa his daughters, Eva Salas of Odessa, Susie Salas Trevino of Austin, and Lisa Salas Aguero, of Big Spring, Texas four granddaughters, Christina Marquez, Niccolette Aguero, Chelsey Tavarez, and Gabriela Trevino one grandson, Donovan Christopher Aguero and two great grandsons, Mason Owens and Izaiah Tavarez his sister, Ignacia Gauna of Sweetwater, Texas and his brother, Joe Salas of Luling, Texas, and his two sonsinlaw, Larry Trevino and Dominic Aguero, whom he loved very much.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
