Donald Don E. Coleman passed away Friday, August 15, 2008, in Midland.
He was born May 1, 1959, in Odessa, Texas, to Harold Dean Coleman and Nelda Faun Sims Coleman. He grew up in West Texas and graduated from Odessa High School in 1978. He served in the U.S. Navy and had over 30 years of service in the oil and gas field as a Quality Control Manager.
He is survived by his father, Harold and Judy Coleman of Goldsmith, his mother Nelda Cox of Odessa, his daughter, Deidra Coleman of Gardendale and son Ryan Coleman of Oklahoma City, two grandchildren, Kaden and Ryan, brothers, Steve Coleman of Odessa, Mike Coleman and wife Lisa of Midland, Phillip Coleman and wife Jennifer of San Angelo, and Ricky Coleman of Odessa, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an insurmountable amount of friends and co-workers that are too numerous to mention.
He will always be fondly remembered as the most generous and giving man that crossed anyones path. His most prized moment of any day was time spent with his grandchildren. His favorite past-times were Nascar, Dallas Cowboys, fishing, hunting, rock and roll music, sweeping, cleaning, porches and alleys but most of all, the time he spent with his family.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2008, in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev Jimmy Braswell officiating.
