Donald Sheffield

Donald Wayne Sheffield, age 71, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Odessa.

He was born January 13, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Don Franklin McKinzie and Emogene Boyd McKinzie. On December 29, 1960, he married Wynona Tucker in Lovington, New Mexico. He attended college at NMSU in Las Cruces and received an Engineering Degree. He moved to Odessa in 1965 and was owner of Norman Battery and Electric. He retired in 2012. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Wynona of Odessa his daughter, LaDonna and husband Mike Handy of Odessa his grandchildren, Reese and Nikki Robbins of Odessa, Brooke and Wesley Jamar of Odessa, Genene Welborn of Midland, Michael Handy of Dallas and his great grandchildren, Laussen Jamar, Lilly Welborn, and Landon Jamar.

He was the Best Husband, Loving Father and Papa. He loved to travel, spend time with his family and fish.

Visitation with the family will be 6:007:30 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
