Donald “Don” Raymond Veatch, 69, of Odessa, passed away on June 7, 2021, at his home in Odessa, in the loving arms of his wife.
He was born to the late Lonnie Raymond and Doris Veatch on February 23, 1952, in Monahans, Texas. He graduated from Monahans High School, where he was on the football team and played trombone in the “Big Green Marching Band.” In the late 1970s, he and his father started and oil and gas service company, Perfo-Log Surveys. He was a certified Gemologist who loved to make jewelry and go rock hunting in the Big Bend. He was also an avid fan of westerns and John Wayne. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Grace Veatch, his brother, Michael Veatch, his daughters Christina Stephens and Cynthia Mehlhoff, his stepsons Louis and Javier Hernandez, his grandchildren, Chloe Ashing, Dillon Raymond and Bryn Mehlhoff, Eleanor Grace Hernandez, and many extended family members and close friends.
