Donna Kay Newton, age 68 years, went to be with her heavenly father on November 7, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. in Odessa, Texas.
She was born August 4, 1943 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest child of Rev. Ervin E.J. and Dorothy Norman. She graduated from Ector High School in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart in October 1961, which brought her two children, Cynthia Cindy and Dennis. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Edwin Ray Newton, her parents E.J. and Dorothy Norman and her grandparents.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Hardwick and husband Richard, and Dennis Newton and wife Tracy, both of Odessa. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Brandon Hardwick and wife Bobbi Jo, Brian Hardwick and wife Valerie, Brooke Hardwick, Braeden Hardwick, BreAnne Hardwick, Kortni Dolan, Mikal Newton and Kirsten Golden Newton, all of Odessa, and Jordan Speer and Alicia Mordente.
She had three greatgrandsons, Joe Garcia, Caydon Hardwick and Braxton Hardwick, whom she loved very much. They were the lights of her life. She is also survived by two sisters, Linda Jones and husband Stan, Sr. of Odessa, and Faye Gray and husband Don of Austin, Texas. She has two special aunts, Jo Newton of Snyder, Texas and Juanita Greer of Odessa. Also three nephews, Stanley Jones and family, Byron Jones and family of Odessa, and Jason Gray of Austin, as well as many wonderful friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing this remarkable and strong woman.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in the Sunset Chapel with Jimmy Braswell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Mead, Donnie Wilson, Abel Marquez, Billy Ray Newton, Loyd Fitts, Emilio Gallegos Pancho, Stanley Jones and Byron Jones.
