Doris Bridges

Doris Louise Bridges went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 following a brief illness. She was born in Breckenridge, Texas to Dorothy and Clifford Taylor on June 29, 1943. She was married to Kendall Bridges for over 46 years. She devoted her love and time to her husband and son. Doris loved to travel and really enjoyed spending time in Colorado. Her greatest love was her 10-month old grandbaby, Makenzie Louise Bridges. She was a graduate of Permian High School and attended Odessa College.BR BRShe was preceded in death by her parents.BR BRShe is survived by her husband, James Kendall Bridges, son and BRdaughter-in-law, Ken and Marsha Bridges, and her granddaughter BRMakenzie Louise Bridges all of Odessa. She also leaves an aunt, Lacy Ayres of Abilene, cousins Barbara Deaver of Midland, Bobby Batterton of Ranchos De Taos, NM, Joyce Batterton of New York, and Dorothy Ann Davidson of Abilene.BR BRFamily visitation will be Friday, May 22 from 6-8 pm at Sunset BRMemorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Odessa with Dr. Byron McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
