Doris Roberts

Doris Ruth Odstrcil Roberts, 79, a longtime resident of Odessa went to be with our Lord on September 14, 2009 after a lengthy illness.

Doris was born on March 14, 1930 in Caldwell, Texas. She was employed as Secretary for the Ector County Adult Probation before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her mother Elsie Morton.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Roberts of Odessa; her children, Wayne Burton and wife Augusta, Ricky M. Burton and wife Susan, Renee McGinnis Martin, and Larry McGinnis and wife Dora, all of Odessa; her step children, Rodney Roberts, Tommy Roberts and Earl Roberts, all of Odessa; grandchildren, Chris Burton, of Odessa, Jennifer Shewmake of Kansas, Amy Ming, Ashley Martin, Braison McGinnis, Destiny McGinnis, Harley Roberts, and Randy Martin all of Odessa; great grandchildren, Grace, Brittany, Brianna, all of Odessa, Casey Jo, and Landon, both of Kansas and Rylee of Odessa; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 4-6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday, September 18, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Glenn Clark officiating.
