Dorothy E. (Clark) Holloman, 90, made the journey to her heavenly home on January 31, 2018. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 pm, Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Buddy Monahan officiating.
Dorothy was born February 14, 1927 in Walnut Ridge, Texas to Levi and Zylphia Clark. She grew up in Blossom, Texas, graduating from Blossom High School. She married Leroy Holloman on September 29, 1945. They moved to Odessa in 1953, where she worked alongside him, and kept the books for their business "Leroy's Radio and TV Service". After raising their family and retirement, Dorothy joined the Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary in August 1988, serving as President twice, parliamentarian, recording secretary, Business office manager, multiple committee chairs and treasurer for many years. She loved being a "Pink Lady" and earned Volunteer of the Year and Legacy Volunteer awards in addition to her 10, 20 and 30-year pins.
Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and loved watching the Texas Rangers play baseball on tv. She attended her one and only Rangers game with her grandson in 2016, which she absolutely loved. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Leroy Holloman, her son, Leewayne Holloman, her parents, and her brother Wayne Clark.
Dorothy's life is cherished by her daughter and son in law, Annette & David McDermett of Odessa; sons and daughters in law, Gary & Sherry Holloman of Combine, Ronnie & Wanda Holloman of Kaufman; and daughter in law, Walterine Holloman of Odessa;
granddaughters and spouses, Lisa & Craig Coppedge of Odessa, Caressa & Jonathan Murray of College Station, Halee & Terry Smith of Converse and Brandi & Lorrie Caldwell of Denton;
grandsons and spouses, Jason & Jennifer Holloman of Odessa, Chris & Kelly Holloman of Yantis, Ryan & Katy Holloman of Cameron Park, CA, Brian & Andrea McDermett of Odessa, Jordan Holloman of Ft. Worth;
great-grandchildren, Bryant & Emily Coppedge, Taylor Coppedge, Zant Holloman, Brandon Coppedge, McCarly Holloman, Caleb Murray, Olivia Holloman, Madelyn Murray, LilyMae Holloman, Maggie McDermett, Molly Holloman, Cameron Smith and John David McDermett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Odessa.
