Dorothy Jackson

Dorothy Faye Jackson, 88, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 6:008:00 pm Monday, October 6, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Craig DeArmond, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born in ODonnell, Dawson County, Texas to Tom Wilson and Rosie Sandlin on July 15, 1926. She married Charles D. Jackson in Odessa on July 20, 1959.She worked for J.C. Penney for 20 years and was a hairdresser for 15 years. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. She was the rock of the family with a beautiful smile and lots of friends.

Dorothy is preceded by her husband Charles D. Jackson, and granddaughter Jaylene Thomas , 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters Sherrie Thomas and Melody Williams, both of Odessa granddaughter, Michelle Richardson and husband Clint of Midland and grandson Kenny Thomas of Odessa one greatgrandson Kelby Hough of Lubbock.
