Dorothy Ann Ramirez, age 85 passed to her heavenly father on November 18, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, Tx.
A Memorial Service commemorating her life will take place on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Hood from Cumberland Presbyterian officiating. Cremation will occur at a later date with family only.
Dorothy Ann Ramirez was born to Robert and Marjorie Fluhr on September 27, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She graduated from Claasen High School in Oklahoma City. She met Joe J. Ramirez and they married on October 3, 1954 in Oklahoma City. Dorothy worked as a book keeper after graduation from high school. She worked for Sears Roebuck and Co and Darville Plumbing and Air Conditioning as their office manager until she retired in 1992. Dorothy was involved in bowling, crafts and RV traveling. She and her husband enjoyed many trips in their traveling home. They especially loved New Mexico. In later years, Dorothy loved her kitties and richly spoiled them.
Dorothy Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marjorie Fluhr, her husband Joe J. Ramirez and her youngest of two daughters, Deborah Ann Ramirez King.
Dorothy is survived by her oldest daughter, Christina L Ramirez, her younger brother, Robert P Fluhr and his wife, Janene. She also has two twin grandsons, Joseph Paul King and Christopher Michael and his wife Rachael King and granddaughter Melissa Dawn King. She is also survived by her only niece and nephew Brianne and Devon Fluhr. She also has 6 great grandchildren Tyler King, Krysta King, K’lynn King, Jordan King, Donovan Foster and Faith Ann King.
Memorials may be given to Permian Basin Food bank. Dorothy’s family wish to express their most sincere thanks to all who were involved in her care at Medical Center Hospital, to the office of Dr. R. J Patel and staff and Starcare Home Hospice.
