Dorothy Jane Subia, born July 5, 1923 in Olney, Illinois entered eternal rest on October 26, 2009.
She is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver, Selso Subia of the home; two daughters, Patricia Ann Estes of Odessa, Texas and Marla Marble Jones of Largo, Florida; two granddaughters, Christy Fowler and Stacy Thigpen and a grandson Eason Adams and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by step-sons, Jay, Gabriel, Rudy, Steve and Daniel Subia and step daughters, Silvia and Alicia Subia, 20 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren.
She is lovingly remembered by her joy for living and contagious laughter. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a great zest for life. She was always cheerful and positive no matter what the circumstances. Dorothy summed up lifes adventure by this saying: Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming . Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for10:00 AM Friday, October 30, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
